My research has determined that the following consequences can exist within the naturalistic acting community:
- · Borders between reality and acting getting blurred.
- · Emotional consequences during or straight after acting.
- · Emotional consequences in daily life.
- · Physical consequences and changes.
- · Personality changes.
- · Long term effects.
I also found the possibility of a link between the use of emotional memory and the increased chances of any of these consequences appearing.
The main benefit of this study is to create awareness within the actor regarding their emotional health when undertaking emotional strenuous characters.
